		<description>When I lived in the Rio Grande Valley, I remember hearing residents of the colonias say that they would dip their dogs in the drainage canals to kill fleas.  Of course, the dogs lost their hair from the toxic brew of agricultural and industrial waste.  But they didn&#039;t have fleas.  Maybe these chupas were dipped in the canals.</description>
